Personal Data Protection
Privacy Policy: Updated on June 26, 2024
Archives of Medical Reports (AMR) published by Leejay Publications respect users’ privacy and takes every action to protect the information of users and handle it appropriately. This privacy policy has details on how do we collect information, how do we use it and user choices regarding its use.
As used in this privacy policy, “we” and “us” refers to AMR to its staff, employees, volunteers, publisher, reviewers, vendors and independent contractors under us.
1. INFORMATION COLLECTION
1.1 Personal Information:
AMR may request personal information including your Name, Email, Phone, Address etc while you interact with the AMR website (www.nrfhh.com) as follows.
• When you register on the AMR site we will use your email address to enable us to send you the updates and other types of notifications.
• While you submit a manuscript to AMR for review we will require the following information that we need to consider, review and publish on acceptance: your first name, middle name, last name, primary and secondary phone, fax number, email, position, institution, department, institution/work address, state or province, country, ORCID ID, preferred name, credit or other payment information.
• When you register on the AMR site we will store your username and password in our database to recognize you at the sign-in. Additionally, AMR will process some basic information like email, name, research interest that are publicly available to register you as a potential reviewer or to contact you regarding publishing with AMR on a particular topic.
• For any reason if you do not wish to be contacted for being a potential reviewer or for publication you shall email us at contact@archmedrep.com. We may keep some of your personal information which may require in case of recall of your request or stop sending you the notifications you wish to unsubscribe.
• Using the AMR site we may collect and store demographic information which you do so voluntarily such as gender and ethnic origin which is used on an anonymized basis.
1.2 Technical Information
Of visiting/interacting with the AMR website, we have access to your computer’s IP address, the URL/domain name of any referring website, timestamp of your visit and other information like clickstream data which we collect, store generally to analyse for trends and statistics and possibly to diagnose and resolve issues that may arise in NRFHH website. We may use click view data to display statistics over the number of views and downloads of a particular article. Also, we use cookies and other software tools that play back user sessions that are meant for internal use for understanding users’ interactions with the website and these may be linked to your user account.

AMR and our third-party partners including analytics and adverting partners use cookies and other tracking technologies to collect user information.

• Cookies are of two kinds namely persistent and session-based. Persistent cookies get stored in the user computer after the browser gets closed while session cookies are deleted once the browser gets closed. AMR uses both session and persistent cookies.
• AMR uses both first-party cookies which are served directly by us to your computer while third party cookies are served by our third-party partner on our behalf.
1.3.2 Other Tracking Technologies
• Other than cookies AMR may use similar technology such as tags. Tags used in AMR is to understand and analyse whether you have clicked a certain part of the website content.

• Cookies are useful technologies widely used and are helpful for enhancing user experience. For example, it helps users to easily log in by remembering that they have logged in earlier so it is not necessary to log in every time users visit the website.

2.1 Author information: Personal information of the author are used for processing, communicating, reviewing, facilitating editorial review, publishing and facilitating the payment of APC (Article Processing Charges). Other than that, we will send you notifications, updates and advertisements.
2.2 Editor and Reviewer Information: We use the personal information of the editor and reviewer to request you to facilitate review and update you on the notifications and developments at AMR.
2.3 Guest users: As a guest user who simply visits the AMR website to read its content, we use information namely your URL, cookies to improve user experience and for site analytics.
Other than the AMR website we may also collect your personal information such as name, email, address and phone number at conferences or events.
2.4 Disclosure to Third Parties
• When the author submits a manuscript at AMR we initially send the title and abstract of the manuscript to one or more potential external/volunteer editors and reviewers who have an interest in reviewing the content. On their acceptance, the full manuscript will be sent including any revisions, comments you provide. On acceptance of the paper for publication, we share the author personal information, manuscript and other research content with the volunteer curator and our third-party partners for the grammar check, copyediting and formatting. When you choose to preprint, we may send your manuscript to our preprint partners for posting your work.
• On publication of the manuscript in AMR the following information will appear as a part of the paper: author, co-authors name, affiliation, email, ORCID iD and other related information. The above information will also be included in the XML format of articles syndicated with other third-party partners for indexing.
• Also, as part of this privacy policy, we may disclose reasonably necessary information to other third parties including our vendor, consultants, financial institutions (for payment processing), web developers, hosting providers, customer service providers which is necessary to provide our service.
2.5 No Sale or Leasing of Your Information
We do not sell or lease the personal information of users to any third parties for any financial benefit or for requirements of any kind.
3. INFORMATION RETENTION
We store your personal information as long we provide services to you or as long your account on AMR is active. Also, we retain and use your information to comply with necessary legal obligations to resolve disputes and to enforce our agreements.
4. INFORMATION PROTECTION
Internet transmissions are never entirely secure thus we could not guarantee the information security you submit via the AMR website. Submission of information over the internet is at your own risk. However, we use all reasonable safeguards including all physical, technical and administrative guards to safeguard the information of the users from unauthorized use, access, modification, misuse or deletion. We use necessary techniques such as password protection, encryption, use of firewall and other means to protect user data. We also depend on third-party service providers who act on our behalf to whom we share your necessary personal information in order to provide appropriate security measures.
5. THIRD PARTY WEBSITES
On AMR sites there are links to third party websites and we have no control over the information you share with them/ or over the content on their website and we do not hold any responsibility for how they may use or disclose the personal information you provide to them. We request you to exercise caution before providing them with your information and read the privacy policy and other terms and conditions of the third-party website.
6. SENDING YOU EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS
Other than for countries or jurisdictions where it is not permitted to send emails we will send you email communication regarding the updates, notifications, product and services information, related marketing/advertisement in response to the use of the AMR website.
You can opt-out of receiving such communications by using the unsubscribe link(s) in emails we send you or by emailing us at contact@archmedrep.com.

8.1 Deletion of Personal Information
As a user of AMR, you are entitled to claim us to delete your personal information from our database. For any such requirement please submit your request to info@visagaapublishing.com. However, AMR may retain your request on a legitimate interest to establish, exercise and defend a legal claim in case of necessity. If your article is published, we may retain your personal information for purpose of archiving scientific research and for any competing interests.

Registered users of AMR are entitled to access, update or modify their personal information which may be out of date or has errors. In need of technical help for such access/update, requests should be sent to contact@archmedrep.com.
9. CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
AMR website is for adults who are at least eighteen (18) years of age and by no case do we knowingly collect personal information of children under the age of thirteen (13).
